Bill Berg
My name is Bill and I am a massage therapist, bodyworker and energetic healing facilitator. I began my journey on this path in 1997, and I have had the honor of working with hundreds of people in need of healing touch, compassionate listening, and energetic shifts ever since.
Some years into this journey I had a profound realization that as a bodyworker my job is to help facilitate healing through compassionate touch and listening. Our bodies know how to heal themselves, and as a healing facilitator I am simply here to help remind the client’s body what relaxation and functional alignment feels like. I mention this as a contrast to some of the work I have received over the years that seemed to be based on a philosophy that an aggressive approach is the only thing that gets lasting results.
Above all else I want you to leave a session with me feeling significantly better than when you arrived and for that experience to last as you return to your normal daily life. I see my work as an elemental way of being of service, and that is what has kept me engaged in this practice for so long.
Each session I assess what is needed based on what the client tells me verbally and what their body tells me as I observe how they hold and carry themselves. Intuition and my years of experience guide me in utilizing the variety of approaches I have studied, learned and practiced over the years. These approaches include basic bodywork modalities like Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, Shiatsu and reiki energy work. I have also included guided meditation and visualization techniques and aromatherapy when called for.
This world is in need of deep healing. All of us have experienced trauma in some way or another. As a bodyworker and healing facilitator it is my honor to be of service in the healing of individuals and thus the world in whatever small way I can.
